    Sausage casserole, bolognase, chilli.....

I bought a slow cooker recipe book recently and there are loads of dessert recipes, but most need a big cooker, and mine is only a 2 person one!

    Ribs with BBQ sauce :)

    Goulash

Soups - I do leek & potato, carrot and corriander, minestrone, vegetable

When I do a beef & ale pie I'll crockpot the pie filling and then dish it up and put the pastry which I've cooked separately in the oven on top.

    I love my crockpot :)

I love my slow cooker...wouldn't be without it....with kids ranging from 11 to 19 it's great for when they all decide to come in at different times because their dinner is always warm.
I've done everything from stews to curry in mine....you can do anythin in them .....it's great for using up left over too, if I do a stew in it and there's loads of stock left I just put the whole pot in the fridge and add more to it the next day.
    xx

I've always precooked the meat, does it work out okay if you don't? does the mince seperate out, not end in a big lump?

I've always found onions don;t soften in tomato sauces if I don;t cook them first, how do you sort this?

i find if i dont pre cook the meat it soaks the flavours up more and the mince is fine, it doesnt stop in a lump :)

with the onions i tend to chop them fairly small and pop them in the slow cooker first and they are usually soft :)

Do you stir it at any point during the cooking?

Right I'll give it a go from raw ;)
