    Help please :)

I've been wanting a 'proper' camera for ages (I used to use a fab Canon EOS SLR camera many years ago - but using film, well, you get my drift ....)

Anyway, ideally I'd love a Nikon D3300 or Canon 1300D but funds aren't going to allow that this year.

Been looking at bridge cameras a compromise until i can save up for one of the above - anyone got one? Any recommendations?

I've been looking at the Sony DSCH300 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-DSCH300-Digital-Compact-Bridge/dp/B00G37XCVI and the Nikon B500 https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Camera-P...1488221863&sr=8-1&keywords=Nikon+COOLPIX+B500

(also the Canon SX40 but that's getting on towards the cost of the 1300D or D3300 so would rather wait and get one of those)

Any other suggestions in a similar price bracket?

What about a used canon 400d, one here with 4 batteries for £80 (no lenses but you can get those cheap) I'm no great photographer but here is an example from mine with the settings on auto.....pic should be 3888x2592..........Steve

That would do perfectly but I can't find any new ones (presumably it's been replaced be a newer version)

mmmm just to prove how indecisive I am .....

I'm now wondering if I should just get a new 'point and shoot' to keep me going until I've enough money for either the Nikon D3300 or Canon 1300D which is what I really want ......
