Simba is home, he’s had 6 teeth out, he was a little disoriented when he came home but is fine now he is sporting a very fetching paw print bandage. Thank you all for your lovely PF vibes.

Glad he is home and well!
Bandaged cat legs look so awfully thin in comparison to the fluffy parts.

Aww, bless him! I'm glad he is back home, and all went well. :) I never understand why vets send them home with a bandage still in place after the canula has been removed...My vet has done the same with my cats after a G.A. for a dental..

This really surprises me too although for a different reason , my vet has never sent any animal of mine home with a bandage still in place after an op.
The only time this happened ,or should I say would have happened, was when Meeko had a referral appointment at The Royal Dick Vet Hospital for his IBD.
When I went to collect him after a day of tests/scans etc they handed him to me saying I was to remove the bandage when I got him home.
I asked why it couldn't be removed before he left and they said " no real reason " so it was removed before we left.
If it was going to bleed it was not going to happen after I was home ;)

Bless him with his little bandage. I remember Teddy having one when he came out of hospital when he was a baby and he sat in my arms trembling when I took it off, but as though he knew I was trying to help. Glad to hear Simba is on the mend after having his toothypegs out, poor lad. Xx

Welcome home Simba, so glad everything went well. You rest up and make sure you get treated like a king.

Kalex came home with a bandage the other day after her blood tests, the vet said to leave it on for a couple of hours. I didn't think about it at the time, but remember thinking as soon as I got home, surely that's not needed. If she's still bleeding or likely to bleed by the time she gets home I would be worried that something was wrong. Within 3 minutes of getting out of the carrier, Kalex had ripped it of and flung it across the floor. Not surprisingly no sign of blood.

Yes, same as I was told i.e. bandage left in place to prevent bleeding after canula had been removed. But by the time I was allowed to collect him the canula had been out for several hours and my cat was distressed by the tight bandage, trying to bite it off. Anyway I cut off the bandage as soon as we got home, and next time I'll take a pair of scissors with me when I pick a cat up after having had a GA. ;)

Exactly this , if it hadn't been out for a couple of hours then it would most likely mean they were not fully recovered from the anaesthetic so shouldn't really be going home anyway.
Its not the first time I have seen members on here post pics of their cats after an op with a bandage wrapped around their leg which was actually too tight and the paw was starting to swell .
If the patient has recovered enough to go home then surely it shouldn't need a bandage on
