    Hello,

We were just putting the kids to bed last night when we heard a thump at the window. A pigeon had flown into the glass and crash landed in our garden! We went to check it out and the poor bird couldn't fly any more.

I phoned our wildlife hospital who said it was really common for pigeons to do that and it probably had concussion. We had to take it in and I'll find out in 5 days how it's getting on.

It's lucky we saw what had happened or we wouldn't have known the pigeon was injured.

That happens quite often where we live, sometimes they just dont look where they're going other times not so lucky and are panicflying, a hawk pounces on them as they land on the floor. Makes a lovely mess for us to clean up afterwards :(

I work in a call centre and one day a crow did this and flew straight at one of the girls who was sat by the window talking to a customer. We all jumped out of our skins and the girl on the phone practically left her chair but she never skipped a beat and the customer never had a clue! - poor crow didn't make it - but it left a spectacular print on the window that was there for days.

Hope the pigeon has better luck than the crow.
