Not going to read it but I'm a member (or used to be) of Horse and Hound forums and these sort of stories were unfortunately posted all the time. It's absolutely sickening what some "people" will do to helpless animals.

You just know in the back of your mind that the police will not be able to successfully prosecute even if they 'know' who did it - in cases like this flogging is too good for the likes of these low lifes.

disgusting story. its says the police and RSPCA are trying to establish a motive, seems to me that the people who did this are just mindless thugs with no thought for other living creatures

I just can't bring myself to read the story as it would upset me too much. I hope someone does to them what they did to the pony - I certainly wouldn't shed one tear for them; I could weep buckets for the pony though. If they do get caught they will no doubt have come from a broken home, suffered some form of abuse, yada yada yada... all the old excuses and they will get off with it.

It's truly sickening the extent to what some "humans" are capable of

At least one man tried to help and I really hope that he's ok and I'd love to tell him thank you, he may not have saved the poor pony but at least he tried!
