How good is pro plan dried dog food, and would anyone recommend it. My friend has a puppy and the breeder fed all the puppies on this, but this little puppy has develpoed dry flaky skin, would it be better if she CHANGED to something else? or is the flaky skin due to something else?

I've never tried it but i dont like it. Too much grain and not enough meat IMO.

And i hate purina foods, dont tolerate animal testing.

I would imagine the food(specifically grain) could be causing the skin problems. So i would recommend a food change,to a grain free food if possible if not then one with a little grain in as possible and ideally the grains should be either oats or rice (because of their better quality compared to maize and wheat)

But i would also have a quick vet check to see if there is an underlying problem not caused by food.
