She had a wonderfully long life, so you have so many great memories, you will be able to smile and remember eventually. :)

Oh, bless. I am sure you know of my sad loss a couple of weeks before Christmas, so my heart goes out to you.

I actually buried Zak's ashes this afternoon in our garden. It really was my final goodbye and the finality really hit me.

All I can say is that it does get easier, but we still miss him so very much. She was almost the same age is my Zak, so very good by doggie standards.

I know like Zak, she will live on in your heart forever.

I am a newby here and just read of your loss. I am so sorry. We lost our beloved Rottweiler just last summer at the age of 4 1/2. After many trips to the vet and finally hospitalization, she died of phemonia. You are so lucky to have had so many years with your dog. We also lost a 10 year old Akita (stroke) and a 3 1/2 pound teacup poodle at the age of 16 last summer, so it was a very rough time for us. The only way I could stop crying was the 5 month old Rottie puppie that my hubby bought me. It sure helped to bury my face in her soft fur and get puppy kisses.... Your other dog would love a new puppy I bet. You will never get over missing the other one but a new baby sure helps......

  14. Dear Renegade! It is always heartbreaking, and 19 years togather its a bliss! And those words: peacefully passed away - saying that she was not ill or suffered, just fell asleep and went to Rainbow Bridge.
