Ok, let's get one thing straight before we start. I am fully aware of the snobby 'designer' breeds cause pure breed 'enthusiasts'. Post an irrelevant comment on here, be prepared to be owned - I've had pure breeds before.
I am looking for a trusted breeder of sheepadoodle in the UK. I know there are a handful of 'authentic' breeders in the UK. They use pedigree OES and poodles. These will individually be HIP scored and everything else inbetween. I am aware how to buy a family pet, and what to expect from a genuine breeder. So please keep comments on topic.
If anyone knows of a breeder, apart from in Wales (they have put new orders on hold as there is a three year waiting list) I would gratefully recieve your comment.
Anyone else, keep your opinions to yourself unless you want to be publicly owned.
I can't see that you'll get many replies with an attitude like that, but 'll move this to dog chat and you can take your pick.
What does 'publicly owned' mean ?
Really? Is that even a helpful response. You're a staff member. Is this site even endorsed by the Kennel Club? 'Newbies' scouring the internet look for reliable breeders and use sites like this 'trusted' for helpful feedback and advise. It's called due diligence and being sensible - not buying something straight off of facebook or gumtree without researching.
So take your judgemental attitude somewhere else, there are people that want this breed and want it done as close to perfect as possible.
Can you not ask the breeder in Wales to tell you of other breeders? Surely if they are ethically breeding this cross they will want to be in contact with others who are ethically breeding?
I would love to be publicly owned. I would presumably become a kept woman and not need to spend my money ever again.
If you look back you will find what most on here think of crossing a poodle with an OES and it doesnt matter how often you do it it is still a mongrel not a breed. With an unmanageable coat. Nice to know there is at least one breeder who is health testing though.
I've noticed 'your' type post similar comments. How is this 'mongrels' coat 'unmanageable'? Have you got any facts to back this flippant statement up, or is this your snobbery opinion??
Actually, as I created this thread I do 'own' it...as its mine. My judgemental attitude is based from other posts on other threads which havent been helpful and instead have been highly judgemental and patronising.
Whether you agree in 'designer' breeds or not, you have no place to cast judgement on people carrying out due diligence on finding the perfect puppy for their environment. After all, we are all dog lovers and put welfare at the heart of everything. Why else is this site running??
So how about you take your comment elsewhere as you have nothing useful to say in this thread

By the way there is nothing wrong with owning a mongrel, I have owned a few but just why would you want the work involved in the awful coat that is likely from a cross between those two breeds.
That's quite enough rudeness, we'll waste no more time on this.
