Hi all, first post here and any help greatly appreciated. I'm setting up my first turtle tank and I'm having problems with the water. Tank has been setup for fish for 3 years now but I've invested in a new canister filter and want to get water right before I invest in turtles. Latest readings are as below. Issue I'm having is high nitrates and pH. My tap water has 40ppm nitrates and high pH. I'm using seachem prime to condition water and doing all the required changes. My question is, will I ever get the parameters correct with my tap water as a starting point or do I need to go down the RO water route?

    Many thanks,
