He's 7 weeks post surgery as of Thursday, and he continues to be a little trooper! His fructosamine levels were so good that, as of today, his steroid dose has been reduced by a third; he's down to one 5mg tablet twice daily rather than 1.5. This should help curb his outrageous appetite...don't get me wrong, wanting to scoff all in sight is SO much better than two months ago when I was begging for ideas on how to get him to eat, but he is could do with learning some manners. He's acting like we're starving him, the little so and so :Hilarious

He was down to 11.2kg at his last check up, and he's even getting a bit of a waist back! He's only 700g above his former ideal weight, but if he stays at 11.2kg I'd still be happy. He's an older, mature gent now ;)

He loves his walkies again, loves sticking his nose into everything and his stamina is getting much better. He's still a bit grumpy with other dogs, but this evening he and Sara had a lovely waggy, bouncy greeting before proceeding to ignore each other for the whole walk. He is a completely different dog, and the pain and tears of a couple of months ago seem like a bad dream...the scar on his tummy the only reminder. The last scab fell off today too :Grumpy

Thanks everyone. Off to clip his claws this afternoon as I don't think his new groomer does these and his feet are a bit flat.

Such a difference! Diagnosed, tested and recovered in just over 2 months :D

He has developed a smug grin, lol! Still can't get on the sofa on his own...or maybe he's realised I will just keep lifting him up!
