I need help with my 7 month old miniature schnauzer, he is scared of children. He has been socialised with my niece and nephew (3 and 7) and they come on weekly walks with us but he had developed a fear. He doesn’t like children to touch him and barks at them if they run or jump.
He hasn’t had a bad experience with children so I don’t know where this has come from.

I have started to get my niece to sit with me and feed him treats and he does take them from her.

Has anyone got anymore suggestions to help with this problem?

I don`t blame him! They worry me and I work with them. ;)
I would ask the children to ignore him. Then he will gain confidence round them. If you push it, he will become convinced there is a problem.
