    Paddock Appeal
for the Rochdale Dog Rescue kennel dogs

At Rochdale Dog Rescue our main aim is finding rescue spaces for the dogs at a local stray dog kennels if they are not claimed after 7 days.

Not all of the dogs are lucky enough to find a space straight away and some come into our emergency boarding kennels where they are looked after until a space or in some cases a forever home is found.

The kennels are really good and the dogs have the best of care and are walked three times a day but due to the land not being fully secure they are walked on a lead for safety reasons.

We have been thinking how lovely it would be for the dogs to be able to have some off lead playtime in a safe and secure environment - it would be great to run off some energy, playing games, and allowing the dogs to have a bit of free time. We can work with recall training and dog socialisation too with the new enclosure. Its benefits both mentally and physically for the dogs would be fantastic.

Here are some of our longer term current residents who would love a fully secure enclosure to play in... from left to right Gucchi, Rob and 'Arry.

Labour would very kindly be provided by the kennels and we have obtained a quotation for the materials required for a 50ft by 25ft secure sanded enclosure :-

    18 x 4" x 4" Posts @ 8ft Long.
    33 x 4" x 1.5" Rails @ 14ft Long.
    150ft of 6-7" Mesh.
    15-20 tonne of Sand.
    100mts of Terain Landscape Fibre.

currently estimated to cost approximately £700.

We are running this appeal seperately from our normal fundraisers - if you would like to help in any way by making a donation, or perhaps you know of a building materials supplier who may be able to help out with some of the supplies in return for sponsorship, or you fancy helping out with some fundraising or can help in any way please do Contact<br>Rochdale Dog Rescue

If you would like to make a donation please click on the link to our website appeal and can click on the donate button Paddock Appeal

p.s. I shall resize Gucchi shortly!
