Hi all, new here so please bare with me. I have been trawling through the internet for many months now trying to find a reputable breeder of German Sheperds. I have not owned one personally before but grew up with them for 10 to 15 years as father was a police dog handler and father has several as domestic pets in Portugal regularly puppy sat by myself. Any help appreciated?

Are you in the UK - and if so where, roughly?
And do you want long coat/short coat?
    Show type, or level back?

I really like Foxfold ones, hairy, level back, lovely temperaments. Often chosen by obedience handlers. They're from Doncaster.

Not too bothered by showback or level back but would want a short coat

They are gorgeous, but always like the shorter haired ones. And do prefer the level backs but always believed that I would get chosen rather than me choose the gsd lol

I like Nyrvana's dogs, mostly working or dual purpose show/working line & they breed both long & short coated.

What sort of GSD are you looking for? If you want one for an active pet home then Margaret's dogs as recommended by @simplysardonic are fantastic.

@Moobli has Nyrvana dogs so might be able to give you some first hand advise regarding them :)

I dont claim to know anything about GSD breeders but I am familiar with both Nyrvana and Foxfold.
A friend has a couple of Foxfolds and they're not my cup of tea personally. They seem to lack drive and I'm not a fan of the way they look.

Nyrvana on the other hand would be a breeder I'd contact if I was after a GSD.

I'm not too fussed with which type of GSD preferably short haired. Just feels a bit of mine field out there at the moment, specially with covid.
