hi, my ridgeback gave birth to 10 pups that are now 10 days old. She's been fab but the last three days she's spending more time away from the whelping area.

When the pups go to feed she lets them suckle for about 5 mins then gets up and leaves them before they have finished.

This seems to happen more when most of the try to suckle at the same time.

I've watched and i can't decide if there is one teat that is causing her pain or something similar.

    Ideas? Thanks
