Has anyone got their dogs on a Raw food diet? Im getting my pupy soon, and she is already on a mix of tribe (Yuck!) and biscuits. We would like to keep her on a raw food diet as she is going to be a big dog and would need plenty of protein. I dont particulary like tinned foods, as i worry what they put into it.

I was wondering what other people feed their dogs and how much roughly does it cost?

I mix raw with biscuits and they have bones and offcuts as treats. I guess you're getting the same as me - ddb :)

Yep, we're getting a DDB puppy in 2 weeks. Can't wait!

What raw foods do you use? and where do you get yours from?

I know the breeder is feeding them tribe and a few biscuits at the mo.

I just use a variety of things, tripe, chicken, beef, rabbit, livers and mixes of them all from any petshop. I get the lb size frozen packs and give them half each meal with royal canin. Anymore than that and they ignore the biscuits. It works well and gives them good digestion plus they get variety. I alsso give thme raw eggs and salmon fillets sometimes. I get bones and offcuts from the butchers over the road. They really like lambs ribcages.

Where are you etting your ddb from and who are the parents if you don't mind me asking

That sounds great, will have a look into that.

We're getting our DDB from a breeder in Doncaster/York.

I know a few up that way. What are the bloodlines? Just curious if they are related to mine.

McDouges/Highland reds are the parent, and Emberez Apollo is Grandad!

    What about yours?

That's the only line my dogs don't have :( Enferno was from Apollo and he is amazing. Beautiful looking and moving and very healthy :) Probably the best ddb show dog ever!

Im just hoping my girl follows in Grandads footsteps. She is very wrinkly and a lovely dark red, with very minimal white. I just hope I get the oppotunity to show her...if she'll let me!

I'm sure she will, darkness of red and white doesn't matter that much in the showring. It's just conformation. H ave you got any pictures? 6 to 7 weeks is the best time to pick them.
