    Hello everyone,

I have been working on my pyrography portraits and thought you would like to see a recent cat portrait.

    I hope you like it.

    Finished picture first :)

    I
Thank you. Most of it is pyrography so it's burned on with a wire. The white and the yellow in the eyes are just coloured pencil.

    I
Thank you :). It's pyrography so I use a heated wire attached to a unit to control the heat

    No way!
I repeat myself, your very talented! You must have so much patience!

Do you then fix it? Or will the colours fade over the years? Sorry for all the questions, im just fascinated!

It's not a quick medium, the heat will disappear after each stroke so it can take a while! It will fade a little but not alot unprotected ideally it needs a lacquer protection but I have yet to find one that I like.

I have never seen this method used before, it must take hours! But what a result. I hope you show your stuff off at craft fares?

I grew up amongst artists, forever helping my mother at craft fares! You have talent! I hope you pursue this natural gift.

    Good luck!

I see a lot of pyrography in the craft groups on Facebook, but very few are as good as this! It's lovely!
