Hi I have a 11 and half week old puppy he had his second vaccinations last week Thursday the 4th. The vets said around 2 weeks to take him out for walks but he’s okay to socialise with other vaccinated dogs. Just want know would it be to soon to take him out this weekend for a little walk just on my back field ?

Our pup has had two vaccinations out of three and our vet advised we could take her for walks around the block or anywhere there isn't a lot of heavy dog traffic until she's fully protected.

Rather than take him for a walk (an open field might have been used by unvaccinated dogs or rats, which could cause a problem) could you carry him out to places where he can see and hear new things but with no risk?

Is it your own private field? If so it's likely fairly safe, if not just carry pup there. You can take them to cafes, supermarket car parks, parks where you sit on the bench, out for a car ride etc, just avoid putting them on the ground if it has a lot of doggy traffic.
