my 12 week old pogus dogus isnt very well. he was sick last night and during the night has had diaohrea (sp). he has been sick once more this morning and has had two diaohrea poos. he seems semi ok, not as boisterous as he normally is but still as nosey! am i right in witholding his food for today (working on the if nothing goes in nothing can come out)

me and hubby have been ill overnight too, sickness and diaohrea... we have all had sausage (although obv radley was only given a little amount as a training aid) can dogs get human food poisoning?

Yes you have probably all got SALMONELLA FOOD POISONING.
With a pup of that age, I would be inclined to seek vet intervention.
It's the dehydration which is dangerous.

I know the vet will want to see him, they always do
Better to be safe than sorry though with a tiny puppy.
If it had been an adult, it's ok to leave for a bit to see if it settles

hi sorry to hear your pup not well, like Rona says best to check with vet, but yes more than likely will want to see him. I know when ben has been poorly i phone and there always say for me to take him up and usually ends up with having an anti biotic jab, and then put on diet of chicken and rice for couple of days.
Hope he feels better soon and also you, horrible think food poisoing, take care.

Nine times out of ten, it's nothing serious.

When Heidi was about that age OH bought himself fish and chips on the way home from work and and sausage for Heidi (I was at work). She got an upset tum and so did he!
