    Hi all

Our shih tzu, Rigsby, is about 11 weeks old. He has been with us for two weeks.

Rigsby is our first puppy, and we think we are doing OK. We are crate training him and he has stopped fouling in the crate. He can hold his bladder all night, and he knows his spot outside :) He does his 'number twos' outside and we can spot the signs when he is ready to go out (he 'circle dances' at the back door!)

The crate is in the kitchen, and we have been gradually leaving him out of the crate for longer and longer in the kitchen. Our lounge is next to the kitchen and we want to introduce him to this room so that he can wander between the kitchen and lounge.

Every time we let him in the lounge he goes from being chilled out to hyper in an instant. This we put down to being excited at a new room, and we guess this will get better with time?

However, he also pees in the lounge every time he comes in. This can be straight after he has been to toilet outside, so we don't think its due to needing to go: it seems to be either overexcitement or 'marking' behaviour.

In short, how can we train him to stop this? We would really appreciate some advice! :)
