Our 4 month old pup tends to sleep 10pm - 6am when we've been getting him up, taking him in the garden for the toilet and then for a short walk then home for breakfast and he's back in bed from. 7-10ish.

However the last few mornings when we go to him at 6am he just doesn't want to get up and no amount if coaxing will persuade him.

He's not poorly or in pain, everything else is fine.

What would you do? Enforce the routine (which fits in with our family / work) or let him stay in bed?

Hi personally I would make him get up and take him out for the toilet as that’s quite a long time for a pup and I wouldn’t want any accidents. I’d let him go back to bed though if that’s what he wants to do.

Well if you really have to get up at 6 in the morning, why not put pup to bed an hour earlier in the evening. At 9pm.

Im with your pup though - 6a.m is no time for getting up:D

Ha! Well me too but we have to get up then anyway. I know most people are looking for tips for how to get puppy to sleep later in the mornings and I'm the opposite!
