They charge £60 for a girl (and £45 for a boy) in my clinic - it's in SE London. Whereabouts are you based? In some of the posher post codes it might be more expensive...

Edit: Just checked and you're in Scotland, so London rules don't apply.

I was thinking that! I thought England was generally more expensive for spaying than Scotland!

Just to add I speak with a lot of other raggie breeders in Scotland and we all pay around the same price for neutering and after reading a thread on another breeding forum it would seem that is in Scotland the prices are bl&&dy extortionate, I have no idea why people in England think it so much cheaper up here?

You can contact your local cat shelter/rescue as they sometimes run schemes where it is a bit cheaper.

I can't believe how much more expensive it can be in scotland compared to some places in england!  I mean £50 is a huge difference in price! I might call another vet and find out if there is a better price to be had.

    Now that's just bragging! :D

I wonder how the pertol prices would add up and if it would be worth a drive down South for a day with a litter of kittens.

Just under £70 for us in Fife, we could get it cheaper at a cheaper vet but I'm happy to pay more as I trust the vets we use and I couldn't put a price on my moglets x

when i lived in essex my nellie cost just under £60. midline was the same price as on the flank.
not sure what my vet charges for spaying but neutering was £34.50 and i'm in derbyshire.
i know some parts of the country are dearer than others but that is ludicrous, i think

We're in lancashire and have just paid £63. Our vet is a little on the expensive side for everything, but couldnt fault the levels of care or the customer service we received!
