is it normal for my baby to be panting? While pregnant? She’s 30 days in
The breed is a shih Tzu I knw she has a short face but last night she was breathing heavy
Are you sure we wasn't just too warm?
There really is no pregnancy related issue which would cause her to pant heavily at her thirtieth day.
If she continues panting, I would have a word with your Vet.
Yea I think she was warm because she isn’t panting today. Thank you!
Is her belly normal for 30day pregnancy?
I took her to the vet for a X-ray and they said it was too early I thought she was 40days but ig she didn’t get pregnant on that day.
You wouldn't really expect a bitch to be showing at Day 30.
Has her pregnancy been confirmed?
What breed is she and how many times was she mated?
The breed is a shih tzu and no she has all the symptoms and it’s too early for a X-ray
This will be her first litter
@Rafa wouldn't symptoms and enlarged nipples be more on par with a phantom pregnancy?
The vet doesn’t think it’s a phantom pregnancy.
She has a swollen vagina with white discharge
For the first week she wasn’t eating and acting depressed now she’s clingy and eat more
OP - I did have a reason for asking whether her pregnancy has been confirmed.
At day 30, you would not expect to see any real changes in the behaviour of a pregnant bitch. However, enlarged teats and clingy behaviour would be more typical of a false pregnancy.
She may well be pregnant, but I wouldn't assume.
How many times was she mated, is the stud proven and was there a tie?
On what day of her season was she mated?
May5th or may 4th
Yes he’s proven and 2 or 3 times they had one tie and multiple slip ties
Actually it’s been 40 days now tht I counted again I’m sorry. But it’s still too early for a X-ray
If it's too early for an X ray...why did you have one? Whose suggestion was that?
I mean, on what days of her season was she mated?
I don't understand why a vet would offer an X ray, when they know it's too early to see if puppies are there..but the vets don't think it's a phantom.
Confused as hell. I would change vets to be honest.
