Hi, I am pretty sure that it is safe as I think it is just with cat faeces that you must be careful, but I am nearly 7 months pregnant and wondered if it was still ok to clean out my gerbils? Obviously I wash my hands well after being in the cage.
    Any replies would be helpful.
    Thanks

I had two kids with rattys and cats and was totally fine, just use plastic kitchen gloves if your in doubt or wash your hands thoroughly :D
