One police men shot dead and two badly injured, a gun man shot dead in Champs Elysees. Police believe it is possibly a terrorist incident. This happened whilst presidential candidates where live on TV.

My thoughts are with the victims and families of the victims and those caught up in this incident.

Awful...France really seems to be getting a massive amount (if this is a terrorist attack). Poor souls.

No really a shock. People like ISIS want the division and the terror caused by incidents like these. They polarise opinion and help radicalise more people when the backlash begins. With the French elections just round the corner..

Personally I cannot understand how people think attacking anyone is acceptable no matter what the "excuse".

Was it my imagination or did sky yesterday morning mention another person involved with this attack handed himself to Belgium police . Or was it unrelated . I'm not sure as the media do tend to over publicise ongoing investigations and retract info or totally deny hoping it was over looked by the public in general . Strange

France 24 mentioned that a manhunt is under way for a second suspect after being tipped off by Belgium security services. Family members of the gunman have been detained by police.
