Joints of pork shoulder are reduced to £2.50 per kg in Morrisons right now. the lovely butchers will even take the rind off and chunk the meat for you at no extra cost.
Guess what my lot are getting for supper?:D

Funnily enough i do sometimes buy a whole leg there and get the butcher to bone and chunk it for me....but the pork was so cheap i did not look any further.

When the butcher chunks it, do you then put it through the grinder yourself or just feed as is? Would love to have most of the chunking done for me. Whacking up turkey legs to fit the grinder is the worst. Mine won't eat big chunks either.

Finally tried feeding my lot pork shoulder. Unfortunately Rufus chucked it up immediately, and the other 2 weren't that crazy for it so it's off the menu. :(

    Hi All :)
At the risk of sounding incredibly stupid, I didn't realise you could feed pork to cats  Why have I never seen pork flavoured commercial cat food? Or have I missed something

No you have not missed anything.
I think in reality there will be pork in many supermarket foods....it is just not declared or used as a named flavour.
Which is a pity as for many cats it is their favourite meat.
In some parts of the world there are still concerns about parasites in pork, but British meat is safe in this respect

I recently saw Turkey legs (thigh and drumstick) for less than a fiver in Morrisons, i have £3 in mind but that does sound cheap.

Pork is a favourite with April

Thanks, I'll give them a ring, wish they would show the price on their website or that supermarket one where you get the price comparison, its a train or lots of buses to get to my nearest morrys, last time I phoned to make sure they had them but didn't think to ask the price which had gone up to £4.50 each  was getting them for £3 when they were 'on offer' so bit of a difference.
