    1. Staffy and Staffy crosses. Staffy types everywhere.

    2. Pig Dogs. People do a lot of pig hunting up here using various crosses. Usually Pit Bull, Mastiff, Great Dane, Wolfhound, Staffy, sometimes German Shorthaired Pointer, whatever they think will hunt well. There is also a breed of Pig Dog that breeds more or less true to type, known as the Bull Arab.

    3. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Lots of Cavs around here.

    4. Jack Russells. Pure and cross.

    5. Little white fluffy mixtures. Lots of Maltese x's, Shih Tzu x's and oodles of Ooodles.

    6. Alaskan Malamutes. Also very popular despite the tropical climate.

    7. Beagles. Not as popular as the above 6 but still a lot of them around.

    8. Australian Cattle Dogs. More crossbreeds than purebreds.

    9. Labradors. Mostly yellow and chocolate. I get quite excited on the odd occasion when I see a good old fashioned black Lab.

    10. German Shepherds.

I live five minutes walk from a lake, a river and lots of great dog walking places so I see a good cross section of the local dog population.

Jack Russells, Jack Russells and even more Jack Russells.
And when I say that I'm not even joking and most of them are nasty.
    Cocker Spaniels
Quite a few crossbreeds, a lot of which are rescues, I know this as I tend to talk to many of the owners when passing by.
Then probably labradors, mostly black or golden.

tbh, there's a huge variety in dogs around here, it's as though people make a concerted affort to choose one that will be recognisable!

    However, the majority are....
    Terriers (Staffords, Jacks and Westies)
    Labradors - millions of labs!
    Border Collies and collie crosses

But best of all, there are loads of Heinz 57s and mixed breed dogs who are enjoying their second-chance life! :D

    we mostly see:

    black labs
    golden retrievers

not really much else around here but saying that we dont really see many dogs at all while we're walking round the village and often drive to other places of interest for a good walk!

Lots of collies (Im on a naval housing estate but there are stacks of fields, woods, loch lomond nearby for exercise, plus we have huge gardens)
Next door to me has had 2 Rottwielers move in one after the other funnily enough (high turnover of occupants!), Im guessing good guard dogs with hubbys being away?

Thats it really, mainly collies, not sure why. Next door to me have a gorgeous Cavelier King Charles and there is a Husky a few houses down. Very mixed bag!

I've lived on a military base for the last 7 years where the stereotypes are still going strong. It's all Black labs and Springers for the officers and Jack Russells for the junior ranks.

We have 8 houses that kinda back on to each other and we are 100 yards or so away from a fairly busy pub. There is also an alley round the back and 'hedge hopping' would save a pub patron a good few minutes walking round the block.

We don't have any unwanted people in our gardens.
Contained in the 8 houses are.

3 Akita's (One is ours and 2 next door along with one of the GSD's)
5 GSD (One of which is HEEEEOOOOWWWWWGGGEEE!)
    1 Rescued StaffyXShar pei
    1 'Mut'
    1 DDB

If anyone wants to take that lot on they are more than welcome!
