    Hey everyone,
My ratty johnathan has a lump on his belly near his hind legs.:frown: Its quite small and hard and just under the skin. Its not attatched to anything except the skin above it, and i can move it about a little. He doesnt seem to be in any pain and is behaving quite normally. Im worried about him though and I don't want him to get sick, as hes not even a year old yet. (his birthdays on june 3rd) I dont know if I should take him to a vet or what.
    any ideas?
    thanks!

So sorry about your ratty, my girl Bullseye had an operation in May 2009 on a lump in her groin & she recovered well, there is a possibility that lumps can come back but Bullseye's haven't so far

sounds to me like an abcess just like one of my rats had.
i watched it carefully and within a week it had burst.
i cleaned it with salt water and you'd never knew it was there now.

just keep an eye on him its mainly females that get tumours.
