he started licking and nibbling at his little cut on his dewclaw :(

so i bathed it in salt water, cut up one of OH's socks and bandaged him up, I still had some of the grippy tape from college which was handy :)

He was a really good boy, only one little grumble when I had to squeeze the bandage around his foot to keep it in place

he doesnt like it but has been given a few treats and has found an old hoof to keep himself occupied, OH felt sorry for him and gave him a few of his meatballs

I know :( it doesnt need vet treatment as its only a little tear where it joins onto his foot/ankle/?? but he kept chewing it so i had to cover it, now just gotta get him to leave the bandage alone

Poor boy. I hope it heals fast and I'm sure the meatballs helped him feel better.

that horse bandage stuff is amazing, isn't it! Ambers had a few foot injuries, and it's been so helpful. Nero has only had to have it once, and he wouldn't quit licking it, which affects its self adhesiveness, so I put another sock over the top and he stopped.

I hope it heals up quickly, poor Grey :( xx

Horse bandage stuff = Vetwrap :D

It is great stuff as it sticks to itself but as with all bandages make sure its not on to tight.

I have a friend who banaged up another friends horses back leg she did it two tight and it swelled. then tryign to get vetwrap off is a nightmare cut the horse in doing so foudn it had got Majorly infected under the vet wrap and nice big vet bills.

Always make sure its not too tight! I use vet wrap for everythign its cheap and if you unroll it and put it in a sandwich bag you can reuse it too.

My horses i swear hated me as i always used Blue or Purple :D
Hope his foot gets better soon x
