My vet told me two of my cats had pneumonia - they have been wheezy and coughy for a while now... so she has put them all - (5) of them on antibiotics.

My other cats seem okay now, will they catch it, my 9 week old kitten is the worry I suppose? I am going away for the weekend, I hope they will be alright, a friend is coming in to adminster food and drugs!

The vet asked if I had changed any air fresheners or cleaning products (which I havent) - how could that give them pneumonia.? How do cats get pneumonia and is it life threatening as it is in humans. And yes they are vaccinated and up to date.
