    That's awful :(

why did he have to spray them? Couldn't he have just asked your friend not to let the dogs near him if he didn't like them :(

    silly man!!

Hope her dogs are feeling better soon :)

all the dogs are much better already, they all curled up asleep, or maybe it just more comfy for them to keep eyes shut.. but she keeping close eye on them all. and vet is only a phone call away.

I had no idea they were allowed to do that to dogs in the states as the only ones one carry those sprays here are the Police
what a stupid thing to do

I would complain to the gas company too. If the man was frightened of dogs he should have asked if there were any dogs in the house when he knocked on the door and asked that they be shut away before he entered the property.

Hope the dogs are ok today.

havent spoken to her today... cos of time difference... but last i heard they were all doing fine..
the meter reader had been to their property before, so knew about the dogs, they just dont understand why he used it. they have been on phone and made a complaint to the company involved.

thank you for advise and concern

They would be much better making a complaint in writing. Phone calls can just be dismissed. A physical piece of paper has to be dealt with.

I have read recently in newspapers that our posties are meant to be getting this stuff to!
Fair enough if the dog is out of control and aggressive but most dogs are purely have a shout at the stranger in the uniform coming on to their territory.

i saw on 'send in the dogs' that the pepper spray doesnt affect dogs, they had a policeman on there who got sprayed with his own spray, and the dog too, but the dog wasnt affected by it. not sure if its the same stuff that your friends dog got sprayed with but im sure its nothing to worry about.
#would defo complain to the company though.

I would be absolutely fuming if that was me!

How dare they spray the dogs.
All they were doing was running on their own property.

If the dogs had attacked it's a different matter.
