urghhh does it make anyone else uncomfortable?
i dont mind if i know them, but people who you dont really like...GRRR does my head in!
a customer called me hun (or should it be hon?) and i answered by saying, i AM NOT a sticky necar made by bees.
    she looked puzzled and apologised

Nope, don't mind it at all, just colloquial expressions of friendliness. I'd have been devastated if someone had reacted like that to me when I was only being friendly :(

Depends. Some ppl use it as a friendly gesture and i don't mind. At work the old boys do and its just habit for them... But never ever in a condescending way. I have experienced it being used in a derogatory manner at work and at college when i was younger and it was rubbish. So compared to them any other use i barely notice! I actually stormed out of a lecture when having a disagreement with a lecturer and he called me "love"... And i was right in what i was saying, he was an incompetent fool teaching incorrect and dangerous theories!! "love" my arse

"the customer is often rude, mostly stupid, but always RIGHT"... Charming ?
