Poor Woody is at the vets having anaestetic and stitches. :crying:

He cut his paw really badly on Thursday night, I would have taken him yesterday but they were closed. The cut is the full length for his big pad on the front paw.

He loves to run and chase (collie) and he did it whilst chasing a Helicopter ( ) his favourite - not on glass but probably a flint stone in the fields - it' made a hugh gash.

I should hear from them within 3 hours and he'll be back with me by tonight. My vets are lovely, they all love and make a great fuss of him him and he loves them too.

2nd time in 6 months that he has had to go in for treatment on his paws (last time was a Adder bite).

They already told me no Agility for at least 3 weeks

It is awful coming into my house and he is not here, I hate it, it's gonna be a long afternoon.....

    Thanks for your well wishes.

He's just back from the vets and is still very out of it from the Anaesthetic. He looks soooo sad, my heart is breaking. BUT i'm sure he'll get his spirit back soon.

They have told me no walks at all until they next see him on Tuesday and he has to be on lead when in the garden. He's not going to lke that at all - he's used to two 2 hour + walks as day and he'll really miss his mates.

    definitely

    Here's a couple of piccys

Oh poor Woody :( Glad he's on the mend.

When my Tala was a kitten she broke her leg and had a cast on and had to stay in a dog crate for 6 weeks (well that's what the vet said, we broke the rules quite a lot). She was a particularly mental kitten and it was hell!

    Hope he recovers quickly.

Thanks - I do think vets are sometimes over cautious, I'll do as they say till Tuesday (which will be hard enough) and then I'll just take it day by day and see how he goes.

I'm sure by tomorrow morning he'll be wanting to jump around again.

    --------------------

Not yet... ! He had enough of today - I'll break that news to him tomorrow morning.

Aww poor Woody, he really looks 'spaced out' poor thing. I hope he makes a quick recovery and doesn't drive you too mad once he starts to feel more normal and is wanting to go out again.
