I have recently got a puppy having always rescued older dogs and I now feel like an over anxious mum. My problem is - she is now 12 weeks and up to now had a lovely pink tummy. It is now grey. She seems healthy in every other sense. It just when I had her checked by the vet when I brought her home a pink tummy was one of the things he looked for to show she was a healthy dog. So now I'm worried. Can anyone help?

    Dont worry, its normal:)

I tried cleaning my Goldens tummy with a baby wipe until someone told me it was just her pigmentation

Blade had a pink tummy a week ago and now it is cream with brown blotches but it is just normal pigment changes. X X

I know exactly how you feel. Heidi is my first pup in a loooooong time and I fretted and flapped for England. This time last year she was 11wks and we had had her for 2. It was like having a newborn all over again :D.

Sounds just like me...I had no idea I was a neurotic mess until Basil came along. He is now six months old so I can say from experience that it does get better!!

As all the others have said, the pink tummy goes as they grow - Basil's was all pink and gorgeous and lovely, now it's all grey and hairy!!

    :)
