Ok, perhaps this is the ultimate new cross breed, but why do I have a *puppy* (and ok, so she's too old to be a puppy, but she's my big puppy) who likes to sit on my shoulder like a parakeet? And when she's not on my shoulder, she's on my knee!!

Anyone else have a puppy/dog who likes to sit all over you?

Anyone else remember Weird Al's album "Poodle Hat", with the album cover being a photo of Al's poodle sitting, very happily and hat-like, on his head?

Aw, Benji is like that, he's climbed onto the shoulders of many of my work colleagues as well as mine! He's too friendly, he just throws himself at people

Fitz and Wybie are both very fond of doing what we call "puppy cape" which involves standing behind us with their front paws on our shoulders and their chins resting on our heads :001_rolleyes:

    They are ridiculous creatures.

Malcolm puts his paws round my neck and lifts his bum up for me to support so I end up cradling him while he hugs me. I don't have any photo's as he only does it when I get home from work but he won't get down until I get out into the garden!

In response to BenBoy: "Poodle Hat" is the Grammy Award-winning eleventh studio album by "Weird Al" Yankovic, released on May 20, 2003 on Volcano Records

Yup - don't have the parkeepup but I do have the mogetter - Irish Red and White Setter that knows he is a cat - all the time as soon as I sit down - he's on my knee stretched from chin (mine) to toe...whats worse is he has been known to climb on customers knees when they sit down.... Explain that one away!!!

My Parakeepup seems to enjoy sitting on the bay window behind me, ideally with a paw on my shoulder:
