Meg, myself and my b/f went for a what turned out to be 8 mile walk yesterday in the mountains ... stunning scenery and wonderful weather ... here are a few snapshots ... 1. Meg not looking so clean ... 2. The view of Cwmorthin lake from half way up! 3. Going up, 4. The path we had just come up. 5. The view from the top all the way to Tanygrisau lake/power station in the distance.

Beautiful pics! What a nice place to walk. All we have is farmer fields or paths with rubbish on them

Have to agree with you there. I'm about 45 min drive south of Porthmadog. Not sure where you were walking but it looks lovely and quiet.

Was on the Moelwyns ... near Blaenau Ffestiniog/Tanygrisau ... 20 minutes north of Porthmadog.

Perhaps if you come up to Port we can meet on Black Rock sands ... everyone else on this forum seems to be having a get together! lol ... Clare x

That would be lovely. Poppy is very car sick and we're going to try ginger capsules on recommendation from the vet. If we can get her to manage that amount of time without being sick then it would be nice to arrange something.

She was spayed two days ago so once she's back to normal and can enjoy a proper run around again I'll let you know and perhaps we can meet up.

Poppy likes to be every dog's friend, hopefully Meg can put up with a bouncy young dog. Just say if she wont, I wont be offended.

Meg is not brilliantly dog friendly, but I am trying to socialise her more, the only trouble being the minute I mention she is not so friendly, nobody wants to know! lol ...

But yes, in a couple of weeks sounds great ... although Black Rock charge to go on the beach.

I tried ginger tablets with a foster dog of mine and it worked ... but not with my friends dog who runs at the thought of getting in the car!

PM me ... I can always come down nearer to you ... depends which south of Port you mean! lol x

I live opposite Barmouth beach at the harbour end. We sometimes take her to the woods at Tal-y-bont - by the Ysgethin Inn, it's quiet in the week, not sure about weekends, supposed to be dogs on lead there as it's private land but some people let their dogs off. The beach is getting busier, especially at weekends, but still OK during the week at the moment. Poppy is used to running free on the beach and will play with other dogs once I've checked with the owners. I realise not all dogs like bouncy little 'uns.

I'll ask the vet next week when she can run and play with other dogs. She can be very fast when she's chasing around (especially after a ball) so want to make sure she's healed enough before we risk a proper play session.

We were down there a few weeks ago ... went to the Last Inn for lunch with the dog (expensive, but at least they allowed the dog in) ...

Will definitely go down there again such a lovely place ... catch up soon, and PM me when you think you got some time ...x
