Hi, After lots of thought and research about what dog is for us we decided to rescue a dog and we now have our new addition. He is a 14 week old black Lab X Border collie and he is beautiful. We brought him home on Thursday and he is settling in really well. I would like to thank you all for all you advice and comments that helped us with our decision. I would still be great full for any further advice now we have got our new dog.

Congratulations. My advice would be to get him into a training class ASAP. A clever dog like he is likely to be needs direction

You can't over socialise a dog. Take him to Pets at Home to meet people and other dogs. See if your vet has puppy parties, too.
