Just got all the info from the Liverpool Animal Hospital & on the Client Financial Info sheet it states -

Clients insured with E&L MUST pay the hospital themselves when their animal is discharged & claim from the Insurace themselves.

What a fantastic review I wonder if they know

When i took Tiggr to the vets last year they asked if we was insured.. we're not and the first thing they said was don't touch E&L with a barge pole.. they're crap  She explained about some of the trouble the vets themselves and different customers had had with them.

    Word travels fast :p

My last dog Jude was insured with E&L and I warn everyone I meet with a dog to avoid them like the plague.
When I took her to the vets he asked if I was insured and I said yep but its E&L, he told me he thought they were worse than theives. I did get a tiny bit of what I paid out back,£400 the bill was £1500, and it took 7 weeks.
Every week that pasted she died again and again :(

They disguise themselves with different names the one we went with is
Compare Pet Insurance, Dog Insurance, Cat Insurance, Comparison to be fair they have been paying up quickly recently but has taken a while in the past  but were stuck with them now  its just a case of reading whatever policy you are thinking of going with to see who they are backed by, usually in teentiny print

Yep agree with all those comments so expecting a big hole in flexible friend next week to stay there for months while we get charged interest waiting for them to cough up if they do  Swoped Holly to a different company would rather loose the discount in insureing more than one dog than risk haveing to claim with them for her  hopefully we wont need to claim for her :)

Youve done the right thing getting away from them, we had insured our dog for 8 years 7 of them ide insured 2 dogs and we was laft with a bill for £2,500 and a monthly meds bill of £127 it certainly scared them we never saw a penny.

Thats why we ended up with E&L in the 1st place  was with Pinacle but after 3 yrs of no claims they whacked the premium up to £25 a month for Banjo & wanted £35 a month for Holly :confused1: she was 8 months old at the time.

We have her insured through Argos now fingers crossed & cats with the PDSA insurance who are suppose to be good time will tell when renewals come round though

They seemed fairly good, cover up to £7500 and it says cover per condition in the booklet.

We have a 14 days window to give it a good old read to make sure :)
