Here are our chicks that we hatched in September last year. The baby chick pictures are on the left and then at 12 weeks on the right.
It is amazing how fast they grow and the change in appearance is pretty dramatic.

They are, in order from top to bottom, Amber, Velvet and Primrose. Unfortunately, we had named Primrose before we discovered that "she" was a cockerel :D and now we are attached to the name so we are keeping it

Yes, much as we love the adult animals, someone needs to come up with a way of producing special breeds that stay as babies. How good would that be? Just imagine permanent baby chicks, lambs, hamsters, puppies etc. :D:D

Fab pictures! You have some beautiful chickens there.

I have always wanted to keep chickens and now we have the massive garden for it. However it is taking a lot of convince DH has he thinks they will be noisy and the neighbours will complain.

The fact that the lady in the house opposite has chickens and we didn't even know until she mentioned it is lost on him.

Such cute chicks. I used to have show-quality fowl, chickens and roosters. I miss them. I love those last two pics, he grew into a beautiful rooster. :)
