Well Oscar first day went amazing, first time outside and in the car and to the vets and he took it all in his stride. Along with coming into a completely new environment.

I took him out at 10.50 then into crate for bedtime. He cried and whined for about 5 mins then settled down for the night. First time he woke was:
1:50am and no whining just rest fullness so I took him out, no playing or anything and he pee'd then straight in.
2nd time he woke and out for pee: 2:50am, out and pee'd straight away. (Some whining before hand but I made sure he had stopped before I took him out)
2:55am: some whining and waited for it to stop and out for a pee and straight back in.
5.20am: some whining and waited for him to stop and out for a pee.

Up at 6.40am out for pee and first meal of the day. It's now 8am and he's done a few pees and two poops. Phase a good play and now he is in his crate resting.

Do you think that he is wakening up too much during the night or is that because it's his first night in a new home. I'm unsure if maybe I should only take him out twice or maybe 3 times during the night and maybe the other time let him whine for a min and he will settle down. Every time I brought him back in during the night he whined for a minute then settled.

Any advice would be great, he is doing amazingly so far. Very proud :)

Oh Oscar is too cute :001_wub:
To me that sounds like a really good start, the time between needing a wee will lessen quickly I'm sure, it seems like you're doing all the right things :)

    Thank you, he is adorable!
I just worry I'm not doing the right thing, in your experience how long before they start to go longer through the night without needing to go?
I'm just doing my best to get I'm used to the crate during the day, in small times. He is going in no bother and eating and drinking in there. He just likes to have a wee moan when he is in there at times. He is tending to fall asleep on the carpet and I'm constantly lifting him into his crate to help him get used to it and make him realise it's a good place to be, any other tips you have?
    Thanks :) x
