2 options you can either get a corsit or let the dress out if your good with dresses. Apart from that you might need to find another. :(

Yup get it let out. Basically they stitch another bit of cloth in so you can do the zip up :)

Or get one of those super tight uncomfortable spandex things that claim to suck all the fat in.

They do work well but you can't move, I ended up taking mine off during the night and throwing it away lol.

A lot of 'off the peg' dresses do not have much give or room for alteration - if the rest of the dress fits, find some similar coloured material and add a double triangle of fabric under the area where the zip is, so you can do the zip up as far as it will comfortably go, remembering to fix the zip so it does not slip down, use some extra material to make a little bow to go over the top of the zip so its not obvious it does not do all the way up lol

Or pick out the main colour and ask the laundaurette if they do alterations can they put in a stip of material each side of the waist so it matches the colour of the dress, and get some extra material and ask them to make a sash type of thing to go round your waist that ties up at the back.
