I just went to run up the wooden decking steps and I slipped, booted the step and fell onto the decking. My toe hurts sooooooo much, oozing blood from under my nail and under the nail is full of blood too.

Note to PFers, DON'T run up wooden decking :nono:

Rupert will have to wait for OH to get home for a walk I can't get any bloody shoes on :(

Yep! And to top it off I've just been asked to stay late at work because someone else has rung in sick. I actually can't drive so I'm going to be hated if I can't get a lift in :(

    OUCH!
I can totally sympathise with you there! A few years ago, I was around at a friend's house and because we'd been out with the dogs, I'd taken off my shoes so that no mud was taken in to the house. Walked in to the kitchen and went to sit down at her kitchen table but ended up tangled in the chairs and my big toe up against the table leg!! There was a great big wet patch of liquid which I hadn't seen and slipped in it! Hence my throbbing big toe - thought it was broken at first but my toenail had well and truly been dislodged!! I don't swear but I think I shocked my friend with what words I actually knew and came out with!! :yikes:

My toes are curling up at this!! And I ended up losing the toenail!

Hope it doesn't hurt for too long! :(

You won't lose the toenail if you get to the docs quick.

They get a long sharp needle and heat it till its glowing hot, then......

Make up a warm salt bath and stick your foot in it. Make it as warm as you can bare and let it soak for a while. Hope it feels better soon. If the blood continues to build up under the nail you need to go to A + E and have it looked at.

Look I know what I'm talking about. This happens to my Mrs regularly. Usually around the same time I develop bruising on my ass....

I just whinged to you about it via PM

Sore :( I went into work last night and was stood behind tills for nearly four hours. That's made my back worse and I can't get shoes on today or drive, and have no one to give me a lift in anyway. But the phone keeps cutting out at work so I don't know if they've got the message yet
