Omg, How old?

    thank goodness for people like your Mum who care!:eek: chances are those poor babies wouldnt have survived if your Mum hadnt have saved them xxx

    6 weeks used to be normal and is still better if the pup isnt going to get well socialised with the breeder or well reared. I remember the first litter I bred, I contacted a breeder and took lots of advice even though I was a vet nurse and had plenty of dog sense. Somehow she got the idea I was an idiot and she brought someone to see the pups with the idea that they were badly reared and she would take one at 6 weeks. When she saw them she apologised and left the pup till 8 weeks.
    Whoever said spaying wasnt common 30 years ago - yes it was. Just the same as now most bitches that were not being bred from were spayed and there were some people who thought spaying was bad, no difference at all. I worked at a vets where we were spaying bitches most days.
