He looks such a character, good on your OH :yesnod:

And shame on his previous owners family, how heartless :(

I never understand how relations can throw out a pet that their deceased loved one cared about. I would hope that my family would take on any of my pets should I die. Good on you for taking the poor old boy on, older B/W cats tend to get overlooked for the prettier younger ones :( bless him x

Aww look a that little nose begging to be kiss. Hope the old lady haunts them for throwing him out. I know I would if my family done that to my boys. Some people are so heartless.

    Welcome to cat chat :D

Oh what a lovely boy...will never understand how some humans can be so cold and unfeeling to discard an animal.

You're a star for giving a loving home to poor Gizzy :)

How blimmin' heartless! Hate it when people treat animals (or indeed other people) like worn-out possessions or broken tools.
So well done to your OH and yourself for adopting Gizzy. He's not the prettiest, or the youngest, but he looks a proper character! Reminds me somewhat of my tabby-and-white barn cat Tiny: slightly pink-eyed and squinty, bless him, but such a funny guy.
Seriously, being presented with a new cat out of the blue might have been a bit of a shock to the system, but kudos to you for stepping up to bat! (Or should that be to cat-?!)

we are a sucker for a cat nobody would want...
we had a cat turn up on our doorstep about a year ago Sassy she was called, very old blind and very deaf, took her to the vet who checked and found she had a chip but the details were out of date..she hissed and spat at the other cats and dogs, peed where she wanted:rolleyes:but we couldn`t bring ourselves to send her to the RSPCA,we kept her for about 6months until we finally found her owners!was glad but sad to see her go!
apparently she`s 23 now and still the same!

She's cute. Very lucky to have found you both. There's absolutely no excuse to throw a pet out, especially when it belonged to a loved one.

O how lovely! I am glad Gizzy is settling in well with your family. Sounds like he is telling the dogs who's in charge now :D

You have made one cat very happy :)
