Isn't someone always. ;) Toppy's got something in his eye. Its been there a couple of days but hasn't appeared to be bothering him, he hasn't been squinting or pawing at his eye. I was waiting to see if ift would disappear of its own accord. Yesterday, it seemed less noticeable but, today, Its moved and is quite obvious. I'm thinking its a foreign object, he does so much digging in the garden, I wonder if its something flown in his eye.

We've changed vets this week and registered the cats and the puppy with the practice where Toppy had treatment for his other eye last year as we really liked that vet. Its a bit further afield but there we are.

Appointment's at 3.45 so I'm just letting him have a relaxing snooze until its time to leave.

It's apparently a small blood clot, no idea how it got there as, on examination, the vet said his eye looks totally normal and doesn't appear blood pressure related, she said it could be due to some sort of trauma. Unfortunately its stuck to the lens of his eye. This is like Groundhog Day as much the same treatment as last time with his uveitis in his other eye. He's had atropine which he didn't like as its very bitter if swallowed and has made his eye very large for a few days like before. Also got to give him some eyedrops for a week and go back next Tuesday by which time, hopefully, it will have dissolved.

He was very squirmy today, he hates any interference with his face. Once home, he was totally unphased and has now forgotten about it and gone to sleep. :Yawn

Glad he took it in his stride. Not nice for both of you to have to go through the eyedrop bother, but it’s good to know what it is.
