Our JRT puppy is 4 1/2 months old. He goes out 2-3 times a day, every day since he could go out, and the novelty of meeting people and dogs hasn't worn off. I don't know if it will?? We are hoping it does!
Anyway, a problem we've noticed is that he doesn't take growls from other dogs (and hisses from next-door's cat) seriously. Today he was greeting a terrier that soon started growling but our puppy kept jumping all over it wanting to play whilst we tried pulling him away.
My husband fears that he will only learn by getting a serious bite :( Is this something he will 'get' one day, that growls and hisses are warnings to get away without being attacked first?
