This morning I decided to try and make Daisy a fleece to go under her hi vis jacket. Having never done any sewing apart from the odd button before and definitely never made a dog coat I didn't hold out much hope. I remembered reading on here about using a sleeve of an old jumper and took it from there.

I am pleased with how it turned out. Test will be when we go walkies in it later. :)

Well done. Perfect fit and ideal, for the job. Far more accomplished than mine :)
Heidi has 3 similar. One old fleece jacket sleeve. and 2 fleece dressing gown sleeves.
The dressing gown 3/4 sleeves were easy. Perfect length. Raglan shoulders great shape for bottom area, the cuff fitted her neck, a slit in the seam for front legs. Job done. No sewing.
The jacket was full sleeve and too long so I had to hem the cut off at the rear.

Thanks for all the nice comments. They are only ever going to be undercoats and doubt they will last long but it was nice to try and get reasonable results.

It's my absolute favorite kind of creative project, making something useful out of something else.
