    Hi
I’m not sure if this is the right place to post as I’m new here so apologies if not.
I have an elderly GSD (male 11) and the last couple of weeks he’s been having nose bleeds, I’ve taken him to the vet and he is unsure of what it is. He has Ulcers inside his nose which he hasn’t seen before. He’s taken swabs for bacterial or fungal and sent photos to a dermatologist to see if they recognise it. He also mentioned Lupus and that may be the way to go forward if tests come back negative.
Has anyone else experience of this at all?

No, I haven't had experience of this. Hopefully your vets will find out what is going on, poor baby.

I lost my beautiful longhaired male GSD to a nose bleed last year 10days before his 11th birthday, he had nose bleeds before, the vets thought either a tumour in the nose or a brain tumour, he was sceduled to have a brain scan but died before the scan could be done, he was fine all morning then his nose started bleeding and wouldn't stop so he had to be put to sleep.
My dog was checked with a scope up his nose, then sceduled to see a specialist for a brain scan.

I really hope your dog has something thats easily treatable.

I didn't mean to worry you, I hope it's something easily treated, could he have got a object or seed up his nose?.
