Just considering all the things that most people consider to be 'normal' to have that I just dont have! (plus I feel the need to start a safe thread today!:D).

So what dont you own/have that most people do??

I dont own a hairdryer, mobile phone, hoover or iron!

How about normal things I 'should' eat / drink (especially as a teenager)

I don't drink fizzy drinks at all.
    I barely drink alcohol.
    I don't eat pizza

This was considered weird growing up... :(

I have a mobile phone but not bothered about getting a iphone or something posh - cheap and cheerful for me :D

    I don't own a hairdryer

Only recently got a mobile (I was given it, it's often out of charge lol)

Don't have a microwave any more (my daughter blew up the last one & I then got given one when my dad moved to Canada but I took it to be rehomed, I don't want one of those in my house!)

Have an iron but no ironing board

I have a TV but it doesn't receive TV channels (it's purely for gaming)

I don't own a Hairdryer - had one once when I was 16 used it twice and then gave it away - I'm now 43, my hair is too long and thick to be trying to dry it with a hairdryer, much easier to let it dry naturally

Other than that I probably have all the 'normal' gadgets

I have most of the usual gadgets to be honest. However, none of it is top of the range. Our TV isn't massive and it's around 6 years old. I don't see the point of massive TV's - they look ugly and I think 3D etc is a pointless gimmick. My laptop is also 5-6 years old and wasn't expensive at the time. I do have an iPhone 5 but only for the last few months - previously I had the cheapest Blackberry. All household appliances are the cheapest money can buy....

I don't have proper internet (just mobile version on my phone) ... That does actually have to change though for uni research. I'm fed up of walking to the old fashioned library

I've never had a microwave, and when I see things like microwaved boiled egg I think they are the work of the devil!
Could never see the point of a dishwasher...with all the cleaning of the dishwasher itself and rinsing beforehand I see people doing, it seems easier just to wash the dishes by hand.

And I didn't learn to drive, or have a car until I moved to the country, aged 39. Living in Manchester, cars were the slowest, most expensive form of travel for any distance. The city was so congested it took longer to drive 3 miles to work than walk. So I didn't bother.
Now I'm off out to the shops - 8 miles away! So I drive these days. :)

I don't have a microwave, dishwasher, tumble drier, TV or freezer.
I don't drink or smoke anymore.
No cd player in my car :(
And no money in the bank account

I do have an iPhone (4), but that was only after 9 years of having the same phone and contract was up for renewal. I also have a MacBook Pro, after destroying 4 laptops within 3 years. Phone and my laptop combined probably worth more than my car and other possessions put together!

I can't think of anything else lol

I now have the mental image of a poop revolving in a microwave!

Does anyone else know the Welsh word for a microwave, it's the best name for something ever IMO :D
