    Hi friends

My chinese crested (hairy hairless) Rory is extremely nervous. He has never really taken to having the harness put on because of the little plastic click clips. He hates the noise and has not got used to it. When approached he cowers and shakes. When we are out he seems fine.

The last couple of days I have used a lead and collar again but as he is so nervous and reactive, i don't like the pull the collar has on his throat. The breed has rather delicate tracheas.

Does anyone know of a harness with no click clips?? I have tried but haven't found anything yet.

    Thank you

    Amanda

Rory isn't that tiny, more middle sized. Although he isn't chunky he does have a deep chicken-style breast.

Thank you for the suggestions so far, I'll look them.

I thought they started doing smaller harnesses but I could be wrong.

I know Lauren's got one for Skip, but there was a poster a few days ago who had a toy breed of some sort (Yorkie?) and they contacted SASS who said they didn't make them that small.

But worth a quick email to check, yes :)

How is he with Velcro? Pets at Home do Velcro fastening ones, also Ditsy Pet. They are vest type harnesses.

Definitely worth an email to check, they are great harnesses. Mine is 3 years old now and still good as new :)

Hi Susierainbow, I'm afraid the tearing sound of the velcro when undone would freak him out I fear, but thank you.
I'm quite liking the look of the Rockyandbud ones first off.
