I've noticed on another forum that there will not be any CC's for the GSD in 2012.
what? in any show
I presume it's all CH shows throughout that year.
sorry why is that
Is this all to do with the backs and legs on them now in the ring!?
Is there any articles on it that you know of
I See a lot of them with banana backs
I don't like it I think it looks horrid and its does no justice for the look of the breed let alone the health problems some are suffering from due to the backs! :blushing:
But i have seen loads of them too and its really disapointing to see such a wonderful breed go down hill like they have over the years!
Can somebody translate any of the above into English lol! What are CC's and CH??
The KC are doing the right thing them
Is it because they've been bred to the point where they're virtually crippled with those awful backs? If so then thats great.
Letter to GSD Clubs....

I love that letter people are actually starting to talk sense but the breeder or whatever in the first link grr.
I am glad the KC are going to do this and I feel that some other breeds could do with it happening to them too.
thats a very bold step by the kc good on them :smile5:but theres going to be some mud flying ,have to agree the gsd you see in the ring looks deformed
Would is be possible to fix the problems by 2012 if most/all the dogs in the ring have health problems though? I've never saw them at a show because I'm not keen on them but I'd have thought it would be impossbile to see major changes in the breed between now and then.
No but they could make a start maybe bringing in some straight backed working lines to get them so uncrippled. Its not so much health problems as they ahve bred them to look like this.
And the movement *shudders*

But they could try to make some improvements before then but they insist those are the perfect anatomically correct gsds.
That's disgusting they've let them get to that state. There was a few GSD at dog training but they were from working lines and looked nothing like that. I have saw a couple in the vets that look like that and I just guessed they were really old and not able to walk for much longer. Maybe I guessed wrong then. Wonder why it's 2012 and not sooner.
Maybe to give them a chance to start doing something. The worst thing I ever saw a 12 week old puppy that looked and moved like that I was nearly sick. I love the working lines I'll definately be getting one when I can find a good working kennel that breeds grey sable dogs.
